Dementia care that keeps home familiar

Your questions answered

Dementia & Alzheimer’s: common questions

What does dementia care at home cost?

Care starts from £26 an hour and the first home visit is free, with no obligation. Many families are eligible for help (from Attendance Allowance to council funding) and our funding guide walks through the options in plain English.

What if Mum says she doesn't want carers?

That is very common, and we never force the issue. We often start with short companionship visits from one carefully matched carer, so a 'visitor' becomes a friend first, and the care builds gently from there at her pace.

Are your carers actually trained in dementia?

Yes. As a CQC-regulated provider rated 'Good', our carers are trained, DBS-checked and directly employed. Dementia support is core training, not an add-on. We also keep teams small because consistency is half the care.

Can you support someone as dementia progresses?

Yes. Visits can grow from an hour a day to live-in care, and our nurse-led team can take on more complex needs when they arise, so you will not need to uproot to a new provider partway through the journey.
