How quickly can home care start?
In many cases, care can start within days. Everything begins with a free home visit, where we listen and learn what matters to your family. For hospital discharges we can often move faster, working alongside the discharge team so no one waits at home without support.
How much does home care cost in Croydon and Bromley?
Visiting care starts from £26 per hour. You'll always receive a straight, written quote before any care begins (no hidden fees), whether your care is privately funded, council-funded or covered by NHS Continuing Healthcare.
Who pays for home care, the council or the NHS?
It depends on your circumstances. After a care-needs assessment and a means test, your local council may fund some or all of your care. People with significant health needs may qualify for NHS Continuing Healthcare, which is not means-tested. We explain both routes plainly at your home visit.
Are your carers DBS-checked and trained?
Yes. Every carer is directly employed by Fabulous Homecare (never agency staff) and is DBS-checked, fully trained and insured by us. That is how your family sees the same trusted faces, visit after visit.
Is Fabulous Homecare registered with the CQC?
Yes. Fabulous Homecare Ltd is a CQC-registered domiciliary care provider (registered for personal care and for the treatment of disease, disorder or injury) and rated “Good” across all five inspection areas. You can read our latest report on the CQC website.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in central Croydon (CR9) and support families across Croydon, Purley, Thornton Heath, New Addington, Bromley, Beckenham and Orpington, plus the neighbouring areas around them. If you are nearby but don't see your area listed, call us, and we can often still help.
Can you provide nurse-led clinical care at home?
Yes. We are CQC-registered for clinical care (“treatment of disease, disorder or injury”) and, following a nurse-led assessment, can support needs such as tracheostomy care, ventilation, PEG feeding, catheter and stoma care, and wound care at home. Each carer is trained and signed off per procedure, overseen by our Registered Manager, Roseline Fazal Masih.
Will my loved one see the same carers at each visit?
Yes. We keep care teams small on purpose. A handful of carers is matched to each family, so the faces at the door stay familiar, and we review the match with you as needs change.
